Planning your Visit – Frequently Asked Questions

We know there will be lots of questions if you’ve never tried an escape room before or are visiting us for the first time. That’s why we’ve collected together this handy Escape room FAQ to help out.

About Escape Rooms

Simply put, you’ll be in an immersive room for 60 minutes. Using the items and information around you, you must solve a series of puzzles and mental challenges, working as a team in order to complete your mission and escape!

Well, it certainly isn’t impossible! Our games are designed to be challenging and thought provoking, but most importantly, are designed to be FUN! You only have 60 minutes though, so the pressure is on to complete your mission in time!

Very much so! We understand that it can be daunting going to your first escape room (especially given the horror movies based on them!). But the important thing to remember, is that our games are specifically designed to be fun and safe! To learn more about what to expect during your visit, please read all the details on our information page about just that!

We have a strict policy of no mobile phones or cameras to be used whilst in the rooms. We have lockers for you to store them in within our lobby, with charging cables inside! We will also take a photo at the end of your game of your team within the room and print this out for you.

Pricing and Payment

Prices start from £30 per person for groups of 2 but drops to £25 per person if 3-4 people are in the room with you (Within your private booking).  At 5+ people in your room, you unlock a price of £20 per person. We also have student and blue light discounts available via our Offers page.

We accept payment through our booking system as well as most major debit and credit cards on the day.

While we do accept cash for slots labelled “Call to Enquire” during booking, we prefer card because we have limited change on site. We ask that you pay via card where possible.

Assembling Your Team

There is a minimum team size of 2 and our games support a maximum of 7 players in D-Day for Devon & Death on Dartmoor.

For corporate team building events (or just particularly large families), we are happy to accommodate a “race” style game between two groups. Our maximum capacity is currently 14 players. Please let us know before you book if you wish for this to happen and we will do our best to arrange this.

In short, our games are designed to be difficult for a group of adults. However, we do not have an age restriction – please be aware that the puzzles may be too demanding for those under 12 so they may not get the full experience from the game. We do ask that children under 16 are accompanied by an adult.

Yes! We are a dog friendly venue for any friendly dogs. Of course, please make sure that dogs have done their business prior to your experience to avoid any unnecessary accidents. Also, we apologise in advance if your Games Host is distracted by the floofs!

Transport and Finding Us

There is no on-site parking at the premises. We would recommend parking in the nearby Cricketfield car park and then walking to us – we are only a 4 minute walk away!

We are only seven minutes walk away from Newton Abbot train station. We are located close to Enterprise rent-a-car.

We are just two minutes walk away from the number 12 bus stop, The Avenue. Alternatively, Newton Abbot bus station is a short walk away from us.
